While riding the tractor with my dad one day, Kyler said "Papaw, why you shut that door?" To which my dad replies "Well, Kyler, I don't want you to fall out."
Kyler says to this "Oh... because you might run over me? And...I might die? And...buzzards might EAT me? With their BEAKS?" - Kyler @ 2 yrs.
Kyler is sitting next to me one night in the recliner putting together a little cardboard shapes puzzle. He starts grunting and straining. I look down and he's got all the shapes in their places except for the triangle. Amused, I continue to watch as he tries to forcefully shove the triangle into place. Finally, he grunts out "STUPID TRIANGLE!" and then proceeds to hurl the triangle across the living room. - Kyler @ 2 yrs.

Kortlyn says the cutest things...
"Mama, I want you to dead that ant with your foot." - Kortlyn @ around 2 yrs.
While visiting my Mamaw and Papaw, my daughter became enthralled with a globe that was set out on a table. She began spinning it round and round and finally stopped it. With both hands on the globe and without looking up, Kortlyn says "Papaw, do we live on Earth?... or Texas?" - Kortlyn @ around 3 yrs.
Driving home late one night, Kortlyn piped up from the back seat "Mama, do wishes come true?". Chad and I looked at each other and smiled. I wasn't sure how to answer her, for I felt this was somewhat of a deep question for a little girl. I wanted my answer to be just right and I finally told her that "Yes, Kortlyn, some wishes do come true, but we need to pray rather than wish for things and if God thinks we need whatever it is, he may give it to us. So, yes, baby, sometimes wishes do come true." I felt satisfied with my answer and was silently patting myself on the back. However, after a few seconds she piped up in a somewhat distraught voice "Well, I wished I was a mermaid... And, I'm NOT!" - Kortlyn @ around 3 or 4 yrs.
